The name Rivulettes is synonymous with women’s hockey not only in Cambridge but across the country and beyond. A group of determined women in the late 1920’s fought for their place to play in the town of Preston.
Not only did they play but they dominated unlike any team in any sport across the world. And that record still stands today.
There were 2 sisters who played on a line with the great Hilda Ranscombe. They were unstoppable. They became a driving force behind the forming of the dynasty called the Rivulettes. These sisters are at the heart of why we call ourselves Rivulettes.
They were Helen and Marm Schmuck.
Tonight, we honoured the Schmucks.
Congratulations to the 2025-2026 Schmuck Cup Champions, team Marm!
